WHY SMALL GROUPS
Small groups exist to connect people relationally, so they can grow spiritually. While there are many positive outcomes that happen through small groups, the reason we have small groups is to help our church grow in spiritual maturity. Spiritual growth and becoming more like Jesus is always our number one priority.
We believe sustained spiritual growth occurs best through the context of purposed relationships, which are rooted in biblical values. Relationships aren’t a nice add-on to the Christian life; they are essential to our soul. As a church, we are reclaiming the necessity of deep, life-giving relationships through people who are devoted to one another and committed to growing together in their walk with Christ. This is why we are not just a church with small groups, we’re a church of small groups.
If you would like to join a small group for the Fall 2020 semester, please sign up to attend our Small Group Open House on August 9 from 5–6PM.
FOUR ESSENTIALS IN EVERY SMALL GROUP
Every small group has four essentials. These essentials give cohesion between groups and provide a common direction.
1. SHARE OUR LIVES
We want to cultivate deep relationships that are rooted in authenticity.
2. STUDY GOD’S WORD
We want to build a strong foundation that results in spiritual maturity.
3. SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER
We want to create a culture of care that pursues mutual ministry.
4. SERVE OUR COMMUNITY
We want to roll up our sleeves and actively serve our community.
