ALL IN: United in Truth! Week 3

Read along with us over the next several weeks as our leaders share passages of Scripture that unify us and point our hearts toward the Lord and his truth as we anticipate moving to three services. Let's be praying the Lord will further advance his gospel on the west side of Indianapolis.

ALL IN: United in Truth! Week 3

"All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God."

2 Corinthians 5:18-20

God has, through Jesus Christ, reconciled us to Himself. He has not counted our trespasses against us. He has taken our sin on Himself and given to us, imputed to us, His righteousness.

Jesus satisfied the wrath of God. Before, we only knew the wrath of God. But now, Christ has taken our sins on Himself and forgiven us our trespasses and made us righteous through His perfect sacrifice and obedience. Now by grace, through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!

Not only has God reconciled us to Himself through Christ, He has given us a mission- a ministry. We are the King’s ambassadors, gloriously tasked to carry His message of reconciliation to the world. We have a purpose!

Our ambassadorial purpose, as a church, is to glorify God by pleading with the world to be reconciled to a holy God by grace, through faith, in His perfect Son.

Our careers, families, neighborhoods, hobbies, schools and lives are all strategic, God-ordained opportunities to carry His message of reconciliation to a world separated from God.

As we prepare for three services, let’s remember they are not merely for our convenience on Sunday mornings. Rather, may we see these as opportunities to fill the church with more and more people who are being reconciled to God through Christ. Reconciled people gathered together into His church to lift high His name in worship and be equipped to carry His beautiful message to a dying world.

Lord, thank You for saving us. Thank you for giving us a purpose. Please provide to us through Your Spirit, the opportunity, love, courage, joy and power to proclaim through our lives and words Your glorious message of reconciliation.
