Doug Helmer

Doug and his wife, Karen, were married in 1984. They have two children, Luke and Emily. Luke is studying film and screenwriting at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and Emily is planning to attend Cedarville University to study international ministries. Karen is a homemaker and is working to complete her Master’s in Biblical Counseling from The Masters College (Santa Clarita, CA). Doug was a business owner for 21 years before moving into full-time ministry. He graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing, received his Master’s of Divinity at Baptist Bible Seminary (Clarks Summit, PA), and is presently working on his Doctorate of Ministry through Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Deerfield, IL). Before joining Harvest, Doug served as an Assistant Pastor for five years. His favorite Starbucks drink is a decaf with cinnamon, and he enjoys sports, aviation, Wii, and the outdoors.

Nick Tynan
Pastor of Worship Ministries

Nick and his wife, Jill, were married in 2002. They are blessed to have one son, Ian. Jill received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education from Cedarville University in 2001 and now teaches piano lessons out of their home while also keeping busy with Ian. Nick graduated from Cedarville University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Church Music Ministries. Nick has been serving as a Worship Pastor since 2002. His favorite Starbucks drink is a Caramel Macchiato, and he enjoys playing golf and using his iPhone.

Eric Carlson
Pastor of Student Ministries
Eric and his wife, Krista, were married in 2007. Eric and Krista met while they were in college at Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA). Krista graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and now teaches 5th grade language-arts at Heritage Christian School. Eric graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and then went on to earn a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Deerfield, IL). Before coming to Harvest, Eric worked in Student Development at Trinity International University. In addition to hanging out on the beach and riding bikes with his wife, Eric loves camping, fishing, hiking, and any outdoor adventure.
