The Worship Ministry at Harvest seeks to maximize our passion for God and His greatness and equip our people to live lives that place Jesus Christ first in heart, mind, and action. Our church gathers to worship God corporately on the weekend and scatters the rest of the week to worship Him wherever He has placed us.
| Mission |
The worship ministry of Harvest Bible Chapel exists to help our people encounter the sufficiency and express the supremacy of Christ in all things.
| Vision |
“Worship” is the term we use to cover all the acts of the heart, mind, and body that express the infinite worth of God and give Him glory. This general term is made more specific in our “worship services.” We sing songs, bring offerings, hear and obey God’s Word, and reorient our lives based on God’s infinite worth.

Values
•
Bible Saturation: We claim the Bible as the final authority and ultimate resource for a worship ministry, and purpose to build it on a Scriptural foundation. The content of our singing and praying and welcoming and preaching will always conform to the truth of Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16). |
•
Head and Heart: Our worship services seek to combine clear thinking about spiritual truth and authentic emotions towards God (Matthew 22:37). |
•
Contemporary Without Compromise: We encourage vibrant and expressive worship that magnifies the Lord, seeking God-honoring excellence in every aspect of our ministry. While appreciating history, we are committed to relevant forms of worship and ministry that corresponds to what God is doing in our current generation and culture (Psalm 40: 3, 98:1, 149:1). We do all of this while standing firm on the foundation of Jesus Christ and the Word. |
•
Reality: Our services strive to create an atmosphere for a radically personal encounter with the God of truth. We pursue reverence, passion, and wonder (Psalm 96). |
•
Transparency: We want for the greatness of God to shine through our worship rather than a focus on the worship team. Our trust is in our Message, not ourselves as messengers. We pursue excellence and preparedness while avoiding the sense of performing to our people. (Psalm 115:1).
| Areas of Service |
There are currently four distinct areas of the worship ministry where a person can volunteer to serve. If you are interested in serving in any of these areas please fill out the Worship Ministries Application or contact Nick at nick@harvestindywest.org .
| • |
Worship Team: It is this team’s responsibility to set the table for our people to encounter God in our corporate worship events. This group is comprised of both vocalists and instrumentalists and they meet weekly to prepare both musically and spiritually. |
| •
Worship Choir: This group of singers combine their voices once or twice a month during our Sunday Worship services and help lead the congregation in worship. Anyone interested in singing is encouraged to join.
| • |
Production Team: Production at Harvest Bible Chapel is about ministry first. The role of the production department is to communicate the message of God’s truth without distraction. The media forms involved on this team are audio, video projection, and graphics. |
| • |
Stage Hands: With our worship services being held in rented facilities this team has the huge task of set-up and tear down of the stage equipment for our corporate worship events. The individuals (male, female or teens) on this team are servant-hearted people who are physically able to do the manual labor required for the safe transport of our equipment. |
