Harvest Bible Chapel Indy West is founded through and affiliated with Harvest Bible Fellowship (The Fellowship).  The Fellowship was formed in 2002 as an independent, non-profit ministry arm of Harvest Bible Chapel (Rolling Meadows, IL). 

Harvest Bible Fellowship’s passion is Jesus Christ and the building of His Church. The Fellowship accomplishes this by planting churches and building relationships among church leaders.  The Fellowship is convinced that:

-    Healthy things multiply (2 Timothy 2:2)
-    A generous spirit leads to multiplied opportunity (Ecclesiastes 11:1)
-    Building strong leaders requires enduring commitments (Proverbs 27:17)
-    Smaller churches can have significant eternal impact (Zechariah 4:8-10)

Any influence that The Fellowship has over each Harvest church is granted by that church's leaders. The Fellowship intentionally seeks to influence by relationship, not by mandate. That influence is earned through frequent interactions with church leaders and through special events such as Harvest University, the Straight Up Conference, and leadership retreats.

Each Harvest Bible Chapel is an elder-governed church that has no central office above and beyond the local congregation.  When a new Harvest church is planted, The Fellowship and senior pastor act as the overseers of the new church during its first 12 months. After that first year, the church's senior pastor and The Fellowship choose elders from within the local congregation.
